Run to the Shoalhaven Zoo
The final Social Event for the year is a run down to the Shoalhaven Zoo where will enjoy a plentiful BBQ lunch and then enjoy a leisurely stroll around the Zoo.
The Shoalhaven Zoo is the largest native animal park on the NSW South Coast and holds over 100 species of mostly native mammals, birds and reptiles. The park is set in 16 acres (6.5 ha) of native bushland and is situated on the Shoalhaven River.
Run Details
Meeting Point 1
We will have a nice late start and meet at Peter Brock Drive at 7:00am
Drivers briefing 7:15am
Leave Meeting point 1 – 7:30am
Then will head along M4 then onto the M7 and the Hume Highway towards Picton Road. Then we will take Picton Road Exit and head along Picton Road.
Meeting Point 2
Arrive at Second Meeting point – 8:40am
Rest Stop 9kms from the Hume Motorway down Picton Road on the left-hand side at Wilton
Keep UHF radios tuned to Channel 18 to hear as convoy approaches.
Leave Second Meeting Point 8:55am
Continue along Picton Road, drive from Picton Rd to the M1 and Princes Hwy/A1 to Nowra.
Upon arrival at Nowra turn right into Illaroo Rd(before you cross the Shoalhaven River) and follow the signs to the Zoo.

BBQ Lunch, (served Buffet Style) which includes;

• Garden Salad
• Potato Salad
• Bread Roll
• 1 Drink per person, with a choice between soft drink or Fruit Juice Popper
Upon checkout you will be requested to provide the name of all attendees (as well as email address). Attendees who are not club members will be granted Temporary Membership for these two days. This is necessary to ensure that the event documentation conforms with relevant legislation and that all attendees are covered by our CAMS insurance policy. This information will be required on all future events!
