Description

Fires Creek Botanical Winery

ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE AND BEAUTIFUL WINERIES IN AUSTRALIA  PRACTICING REGENERATIVE ORGANIC FARMING TO MAKE AWARD-WINNING WINES FROM A WIDE ARRAY OF BOTANICALS.

Located at Holgate, Fires Creek Botanical Winery handcraft an innovative and diverse variety of award-winning wines from fruit and flowers. Wines are made following the seasons of mother nature, so every season there is something new and interesting to try.  The stunning gardens at Fires Creek Winery are set on 2.5 acres of lush grounds featuring rain forest skirting the property on the permanent creek, waterlily ponds, numerous fruit trees and vines. It has the rustic feel of a Tuscan vineyard, combined with the lushness of temperate rain forest – all rolled into one.

As the seasons change from winter to spring, summer and autumn the gardens at Fires Creek unfold their ever-changing colours. Spring is full of the flush of new growth, brilliant young greens of the amber trees and willows; and the new leaves of the vineyard. Summer is warm and the brilliant blues of agapanthus contrast with the crisp green lawn. Autumn is a season for gold and russet hues of the beautiful trees and the garden abounds in autumn foliage.

Wine tasting is complimentary and no reservation is required. Group tours for over 10 people can be arranged by contacting the winery. For a more in-depth experience, a variety of really interesting tours can be pre-booked online including chocolate and wine pairing, foraging & mixology workshop, meet the winemaker behind the scenes tour, and an Aboriginal bushtucker and winetasting experience.

Fruit grown on the property are lovingly grown using organic principles and the handcrafted wines are all vegan. Availability varies seasonally, vintages could include wine made from Figs, Passionfruit, Raspberries, Plum, Rose, Blackberry, Rose Petal and Pear, Elderberry, Lime, Orange, & Chilli, Kiwi, Blackcurrant and Coffee, Guava, Cranberry, Violet, Pear and Feijoa, Blueberry & Lavender.
