The HSV Owners Club has booked a Private Club Track Hire Drag Day for its members and members of associated car clubs on Sunday 21st August 2022. These types of days are limited, in fact this is the first time since 2018!

Cost is $230 per car and is great value because with the number of entries being limited there will be plenty of time to run your car and race your mates if you wish to do so.

Entry price also includes entry for 1 driver, 2 crew members and 3 spectators – and no more. Crew members will have access to area near the launch pad, spectators will be restricted to the general spectator area.

Entries close once 70 entries are received or 10:00pm Sunday 14th August 2022, whichever is the earliest.

No shops will be open at the venue and you are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Competitors gates open at 8:00am, Registration and Scrutineering 8:00am to 9:45am. A compulsory Drivers Briefing will be held at 9:45am, with Racing commencing around 10:00am.

Registration: Drivers are to bring their printed order and photo identification as well as all their crew members and spectators with them to the registration desks in the scrutineering shed upon arrival. The Driver will be issued a pre-numbered entry form which should then be completed and submitted to collect your Driver’s wrist band. Crew Members and Spectators will be checked off the Master List with the Driver and issued wrist bands accordingly. Once Drivers have registered and collected their wrist bands they will need to take their car to scrutineering for safety checking and race number application.

Double entries (where 2 drivers share the one car) are subject to prior approval by Sydney Dragway. If you want to double enter, each driver must enter and pay individually and then email Ian Williams at webmaster@hsvclubnsw.com including details of the car that will be shared. Deadline for double entries is Saturday 13th August 2022. Double entrant information will then be emailed to Sydney Dragway and entrants will be emailed once approval has been received.

The apparel requirements and other information is included in the Supplementary Regulations which you will need to download and read. Please make sure that your helmet has a AS/NZS1698 standard sticker on it, or at minimum complies with this standard. A summary of the requirements for the day is below.

Please include the names of all the people you will be bringing with you on the day below. These names will be included on your Order which will be automatically emailed to you once your entry has been submitted and processed.

Note that ONLY people whose names which have been submitted with your order will be permitted access to the venue on the day.

Catering Vans will be at the venue from 8:00am. The Coffee Van accepts Cash only. The Burger Van accepts both Cash & Card and will have egg and bacon rolls, burgers, gozleme and drinks.

Hire is for street-registered vehicles only; IHRA-designated Super Street vehicles and a maximum of 4 Motorsport Australia Log Booked vehicles are permitted.

Cars with a known potential to run quicker than 10.00-seconds (1/4 mile) are not permitted

All drivers must hold a current civil driver’s licence as a minimum

P-plate licences are acceptable; Learner’s permits are not acceptable for cars

No changes or withdrawals can be accepted after the close of business Sunday 14th August 2022. “No-shows” for the event will not be refunded.

Names of all crew and spectators need to be included in your online entry and must appear on your printed Order to gain admission.

A printed copy of your Order will be emailed to you upon submission of your online entry and will need to be printed and submitted at the Registration desks on the day to receive wrist bands for yourself, your crew and your nominated spectators. No other people will be allowed entry to this event.

If you have a IHRA drag licence, the IHRA licence number must be included in your entry, and you must present your IHRA drag licence during registration and race under your IHRA Licence during the hire day.

Entry fee includes a “1 Day” drag licence for those without a IHRA drag licence.

The Sydney Dragway Café will not be available for service on the day. Please bring your own food or visit nearby establishments.

Drivers must wear an approved helmet (AS/NZS 1698 minimum as specified in the below Table “Minimum Vehicle Requirements) with long-sleeved upper body garment, long pants and enclosed shoes. (Shoes and clothing must be of fire resistant material (eg wool or cotton) as a minimum – no nylon).

Minimum lap-sash seat belt required (lap-only seat belts are not permitted)

No alcohol, glass containers, animals or fireworks permitted within the venue

Competitor Gate opens 8:00am, Registration/Scrutineering 8:00am – 9:45am. Racing after compulsory Drivers Briefing at 9:45am on the starting line.

Any driver running 10.50-seconds or quicker over the quarter-mile will require an IHRA Licence.
