Our 30th Anniversary Club meeting was held on 5th May 2015 where two of our Foundation Members Brian Cassell and Les McClelland cut the celebration cake. That was followed by a run to Burradoo on 17th May to replicate the original run made on 5th May 1985. A 30th Anniversary DVD was produced and the club logo changed for that year with a classic Brock “wreath” design.

The Club Constitution was updated to allow for the option of online voting for Special Resolutions and Committee member elections.

The Club was invited for the first time to participate in HSVFest (Show Day pictured below) that was held at Albury/Wodonga on the June long weekend. It was a great event but suffered from undercatering. Our Club agreed to join the organising team and take over the administration and entries which we are able to do online to prevent problems like this from happening again.

At the Muscle Car Masters held at Sydney Motorsport Park, our Club put together a terrific display and was one of the few clubs chosen to perform a parade lap for spectators. Also at SMSP Club Members attended “Night Shift” on Friday evening 15th May where we won “Best Club Display” and Alex Martin won “Best Holden”. This event was created by Queen Street Customs with a huge display of cool street machines.

Life Membership was granted to Karin Ross having been magazine editor for over 15 years.

The Club joined the Southern Motoring Group (SMG) which is affiliated with the Australian Council of Motor Clubs (ACMC). The ACMC is a part of the NSW Government’s Vehicle Standards Working Group which is looking at the Conditional Registration Scheme for Historic Vehicles. The questions of a Log Book Scheme similar to that operated in Victoria and Historic Vehicles with modifications that are not currently eligible for Conditional Registration are being examined. Our membership of the SMG will give us a say in this process and will include us when a new scheme is finalised.
