The Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in past years has been held in March of that year. This meant that the new Committee was only able to start planning for April on. Commencing this year, 1994, the Club AGM will be held in November of each year for the election of Committee Members for the following year. This will give Committee Members an opportunity to “Hand Over” at the December committee meeting so that the new Committee Member can hit the ground running for the following year.

The VR GTS was released in may with a 215kW engine, six speed transmission, premium brakes, and Hydratrak differential. The GTS will be available in 3 colours – Sherbrooke Green, Diablo Red and Alaskan White.

Wakefield Park Raceway opened and 6 club drivers attended a Porsche Club driver training day to familiarise the Club with this new track which had been heavily booked for the next 18 months in advance.

The club had grown to 243 Members and the highlight of the year was a Club night with Peter Brock (who turned 50 this year on 26th February), John Harvey and Tomas Mezera at the Parramatta Masonic Club where over 300 people attended.

Club Member Peter Assel interviewed New Kid on the Block – Craig Lowndes at Bathurst and Peter commented that he thought that this young guy has a bright future, having setting the 2nd fastest lap of the day and beating Brock’s lap time at Sandown.
